Now why would anyone that identifies as a dominant be shaved....thats more the question, yes? Well lets see...the first time was simply to see what it was like, something I had never done before. The second time was at Sir's hand and was not fully shaven. Being in service to someone while you are also a dominant is interesting some times.

When Sir (Doug, I presume, or have you been slutting around with other Sirs? <wink>) shaved you...you were IN HIS SERVICE. You were not dominant over him or to him, even though you did not give up your identity as dom to others. But would Sir shave another Master? Or, for that matter, is Sir himself shaved?

My estimable partner, Will, pointed out (and I do agree with him on this) that a dom can do anything he or she feels like doing. A dom who really is turned on by being shaved can shave, sure, why not...and more power to him/her. That said, for most doms, shaving (as Night points out) is part of a sub's transformation.

This thread reminds me of the time last year when i had to have a minor gynecological procedure done. The doctor starts out explaining the procedure by saying "First we'll shave a little patch of your pubic hair"; i laughed and said "i don't think that'll be a problem." Although it did make me wonder why he'd forgotten (or hadn't noticed) in the first place. hmmmmmmmmm...

Go buy one of those nose hair trimmers (about $10) and give it a shot yourself! The trimmer allows you to do very delicate, detailed barbering ... it's how skinheads carve Volkswagen logos and Mercedes Benz logos in the back of their almost shaved heads. If you should feel so inclined as to take a photo of your results (!!) I'm sure Gloria, Thorn, Night and others would also be interested to see.

I shave all the time, but when M decides to do it for me I make darn sure I dont have appt with my doc for that same week - he gets rather creative with designs like Craig

i remember a time when i would have been embarrassed at the doctor too, with a unique pattern shaved on my pubis. Those times have passed for me ... is that a good thing? i don't know, but it's surely easier on my high-strung nerves. i've found that a light-hearted, humorous approach gets one through a lot of otherwise embarrassing situations. ;)

hmmm i've never gone to the gynocologist with shaved pubes, but i did have to have a thorough exam by a cardiologist once. an old white haired much respected cardiologist at Duke University Medical Center. very old school. but i'd forgotten and left my nipple rings in. the exam took about half an hour with him listening to my heart with me turned this way and that, leaning this way and that. he blushed but never said a word about them. LOL.

Eclipse: Sorry to veer off-topic, but I'm curious about new nipple piercings. Mistress has noted my delite in having my nipples pinched severly, and has suggested that after my tounge heals and we get some spare money, I may end up with my nipples pierced too. <wags tail>

My question is about removing them. How long after the piercing is new can you remove them, and for how long? I've been told that in the case of tongues, just a few minutes without the bar in place can give it time to close up, but I'm not sure about other body piercings. I know she won't have me do it if I can't remove them for a few hours or a day at a time. There are times when I won't be able to keep a shirt on, and I don't want to have to shock my poor conservative relatives.

     I would suggest a few weeks before taking out the nipple rings, and then only for a few hours at a time or possibly overnight. It really depends more on the stage of healing. Use common sense. I don't have any experience with tongue piercing but from everything I've heard, that is a lot more vulnerable to growing back than any other part of the body. I didn't take my rings out the first time until they'd been pierced for almost four months. I was able to leave them out for 24 hrs at that point with no problem. Welcome to the board, btw!

Well my nipples weren't pierced but my nose was and for the first several months (I don't think cartilege heals well?) I couldn't take it out for more than an hour or two. After a year and about three months, I left the ring out for a week and it wouldn't go back in. I'm going to have to get it repierced (but I want contacts first; I'm in the process of a self-imposed, whole-body makeover! woo hoo for me!)

People who have a tendency to break out sometimes after shaving - If you'll tan that tweeter, it will stop!

Or - Let's say, I know of a case where it has.
NO more breaking out at all since the tweeter has been tanned!
